Here are some upcoming foodie things I am doing and you can too!

- BBQ cookoff this weekend at Sea World benifiting the San Antonio Stock show. This is the who's who of the BBQ world. You can buy tickets on line or at the gate! There is judging and a concert Saturday night.

- Dinner at Bin 555 on Thursday the 4th. A good friend of mine is one of the chefs out there and I am excited about trying their menu! ( I'll let you know how it is) The resturant itself is located off of Bitters in Artisians alley.

- Then off to Ft. Worth Stock show. Home of all things fried and on a stick! I cant wait to show you new things that they fry up there! Maybe Ill even take a few side trips along the way... I will be sure to add pictures.

So that is my weekend and next week in a nut shell. I know that there will be many more things come up to add so keep following along.

*** I may even stop by a trail ride- I have been promised the info on how to make quick and easy peach cobbler!!**** you have to try this one! it takes like 30min! AWESOME!

Mozies

So I had to go out to New Braunfels today to pick up my Mom... she was having work done on her Jeep. We decided to go et lunch in Greune. Next time you are there or even almost there check out Mozies. it is on the corner of the street next to the antique store and across from greune hall. A dear friend turned me on to this place and i love it! All im saying is you have to get the sliders! They have by far prefected the french fry- which to be honest is the worlds most perfect food. They make them extraordnary by adding garlic and parm to them- I dont know how but they are wonderful! I could eat a whole plate myself. But after eating such a great meal you may have to do a few extra laps around the track! But it is well worth it! Go enjoy Mozies, have a cold beer and a slider for me.

I ment to take a picture of the food before i ate! But i forgot... so the picture was of the leftover fries....

If you know of a place to eat let me know! Remember Eat what you love, and love what you eat!

What to eat today?

Hello all! Well it is almost noon and I am STARVING!!! Let me know where to eat in the New Braunfels area! I am working on my blog today! Got lots to upload and lots of cool places to EAT.. BBQ cook off next weekend stay tuned, I have the INS with some great bbq cooks!

you are what you eat.

Food is not just fuel for the body but nurishment for the soul. Maybe it is a chef that puts their every waking min thinking of the perfect dish, or it is the busy mom that is just trying to get dinner on the table, food is our conection to others. A way to express love. It maybe the cook at the local taco stand, who knows every spice to add to make that perfect taco, passed down from generations, and enjoyed by all that eat there. Food transports you, to another time, another place. You can remember what your moms meatloaf tasted like and the fist time you ate sushi....

Maybe you are just the person who likes to eat and it always in search of the next great meal, a new chef and a new restaurant.

Wheather you choose today to eat at a 5 star restaurant or at the local "whole in the wall" remember to eat what you love and love what you eat...

Or maybe go have lunch with mom...

When you take time to enjoy a meal... you can taste the love...

Lunch today: Radicke's Bluebonnet Grill~ 237 N. WW White Rd

Lunch today was a family favorite.... This little restarurant has been a family business for decades. If you like something new, try the Jalapeno fried chicken or jalpeno chicken fried steak- they both offer a unique Texas twist on an old favorite. The sides are always served in large portions with daily seasonal specials ranging from mac and cheese to fried okra and more. Go in on a Monday and try the homemade chicken and dumplings!MMMMMMM. Friday' special is turkey and dressing! I had the Monday special with mac and cheese and fried okra. It was great and well worth the drive to that side of town.(if your gonna be down at the stockshow and rodeo it is just around the corner from the ATT center) The specials are served hot and fresh with two sides and homemade sweet rolls. Everything on the menu is great- I have tried it all, And dont forget the pies- they are delicious and make right there at the resturant! So if you are ready for some good southern cooking, a daily special or just a good 'ole hamburger made on a homemade bun with fresh fries. Try Radicke's bluebonnet Grill.

This place has a large following so get there early, the Bluebonnet Grill is open for breakfast and lunch 6am-3pm Monday-Friday (prices around $8.00 with drink)

welcome

I want to take a moment to invite you on the journey of Texas food. I plan on writing about all the great places to eat in Texas. I live in San Antonio and feel that there are great places to eat no one knows about. In the coming years I truly hope that San Antonio becomes a foodie town and pole will begin to eat "outside the box". I know some wonderful chefs and local hangouts, places to get bbq and burgers as well as the steak of your dreams... I would love to hear your suggestions of great places to eat in SA so please let me know.... Off to eat lunch...
